Use Desktop to create an isolated browser environment. The Windows development build is being tested; public Windows and macOS installers are not published.
The Chrome extension is in development. It will share a selected existing tab.
Prepare the browser
Open the pages and website accounts needed for the task. Keep unrelated accounts in your personal browser.
Each browser has its own profile and persistent session folder. People sharing that browser share its files.
Invite and approve
Create an invitation for the browser you want to share. The invitation lasts 30 minutes.
Send it to the intended guest. Approve the connection in Access. Guests begin in Watch mode.
Keep hosting
Keep the computer awake, online and running BrowserSeat. Closing the app window leaves it hosting from the system tray.
Quitting BrowserSeat, sleep, shutdown or loss of connectivity interrupts the session. Hosting consumes CPU, memory, storage and bandwidth.
Review and end access
Check the completed work and files before ending the session. Revoke guest access when the task is finished.
Revoking access stops video and input and invalidates the invitation. Session files remain in the browser’s folder.
